Elsewhere, 3/1 (Like A Lion)
- March has arrived in Lincoln, roaring for all it’s worth, and Madame Opus has the blustery proof.
- After nearly a decade, ChristianityToday’s Film Forum—a weekly roundup of film reviews from various Christian critics—is wrapping up and moving to Looking Closer. Jeffrey Overstreet has posted some thoughts about Film Forum’s passing.
- I would’ve totally missed this if not for my wife’s sharp eyes: a new trailer for Danny Boyle’s upcoming sci-fi flick, Sunshine.
- Psshh… it’s not like you have anything better to do on this snowy afternoon, so here’s another trailer, courtesy of Twitch: Ex Machina, the sequel to Appleseed (my review).
- Now this is very shiny… a special two-disc release of Serenity—the movie follow-up to one of the best shows to ever grace the boob tube—will be released in July 2007. According Joss Whedon, the disc will be packed with extras, as well as a new cover (thank God). My review of Serenity is here.
- I’m sure that most serious RSS consumers swear by Newsfire—at least on the Mac side of the fence—but I’ve always dug Vienna. Sure, it’s not as flashy or pretty as Newsfire, but it gets the job done, and it’s free. And I have to say, my Vienna is looking even prettier thanks to BrokenLogic’s FeedLight Aqua style.
