Is this THE Lost theory?

This is one of the better, more interesting Lost theories I’ve seen.  After skimming through it, I’m even more intrigued to get back into the show, if only to see how it compares to what the show’s producers actually have cooked up (if they have anything cooked up, that is).  And even if it isn’t anywhere close, it’s still pretty interesting. Whatever the case, it’s packed to the brim with spoilers, so consider yourself warned. Via

    what it DOESN’T explain is the Others Head Guy saying that Walt is a ‘very special boy’ (or something like that).

    Still, it’s pretty freakin’ sweet.

    Well I’m certainly impressed.  I have kinda let go of the show for now because I’ve never been able to give it a regular viewing but this might change that, or at least get me to rent the dvds.

    I’m just afraid this show is going to lose focus because you want to keep something going because you’re getting some awesome ratings from it.  We shall see.

    For some reason I find this theory a bit terrifying.  If it does turn out to be proven, though, I do not think I would be disappointed.  J.J. has been known to get a little too convoluted, though—Rimbaldi, anyone?

    I think that what frightens me the most is that the producers have talked about doing the show for 5 seasons.  Which increases the risk that the show will have jumped the shark long before the series finale.

    I’ve read the theory a couple of times and even though it’s well thought and interesting I still believe it’s too complicated for the format of a show like LOST. I have an engineering degree in mathematics and physics and even I would have have problems understanding everything let alone a 16 year old kid. I favour the easier explantions. My personal theory is that the guy who arranged Desmonds round the world sail (the father of Desmonds girlfriend…can’t remember his name right now) has alot more to do with the island than meets the eye. The Others are simply there to keep the experiment going and to see to that no one leaves the island. I know it doesn’t explain everything but its a start… Keep em coming
