Jon Stewart Vs. CNN…

Jon Stewart Vs. CNN…

A few years ago, I decided to try and cut TV from my life as much as possible.  As much as I didn’t want to, I spent way too much time watching utter crap (*cough* MTV Cribs *cough*) when I could’ve spent it watching more profitable programming.  And so I just decided to chuck the whole thing, and waste my time watching movies.

However, there are times when I rethink that decision, and Jon Stewart’s appearance on CNN’s Crossfire is one of them.

One reason why I dislike politics, or at least discussing them, so much is the extreme partisanship that goes on, especially amongst loud-mouthed, egotistical talking heads on both sides of the fence who seem to believe that shouting down their opponents gives them the moral high ground.  And it’s brilliant how well Stewart brings that to light with the show’s hosts.

I’m sure he mocked his bowtie and called him a dick. Hah. Props for speaking out, though. Not many people would have the guts to do that.

I’d have called him a dick an awful lot sooner ... Stewart was mighty patient while being interupted over and over and over ...

it’s funny reading articles from major news outlets about Jon Stewart on Crossfire. The “spin” is that he was a “belligerent” [according to CNN] guest who provoked the hosts, not the other way around.

John Stewart straight out owned those guys on Crossfire. I admire his courage.
