Joy Division Craziness
I know that Joy Division is the very definition of “sacred cow” for many people. Can’t say that I blame them, Lord knows I’ve spent many hours listening to Ian Curtis et al and drawing inspiration from their music. And let’s face it, “Love Will Tear Us Apart” is an awesome song. So with those thoughts in mind, I present you with these two lovely Joy Division-related goodies (or blasphemy, as the case might be).
The first is a cover of “Love Will Tear Us Apart” by Yat-Kha, a Russian punk band that incorporates Tuvan throat singing. The second is yet another one of those infernal mash-ups, this one of “Love Will Tear Us Apart” and Missy Elliot(?!) entitled—brace yourself—“Love Will Freak Us”. Click here to listen to the madness.
