As soon as a total stranger finds out that you’ve recently had a baby, they’ll tell you everything about their last pregnancy, including any and all breast-feeding woes and their favorite episiotomy-related memories.

    you can tell i live a sheltered life:  i did not know what an episiotomy was.  ...  and i wish it would have stayed that way.

    HA! it’s SO true. and no matter how drastically different your experiences are from theirs, they will see them as IDENTICAL and feel compelled to share every detail.

    i, for one, feel that even the MENTION of the word episiotomy should be outlawed beyond the labor and delivery ward.
