I was laid up for most of last night and this morning with a nasty little migraine, so I’m still a little groggy and lightheaded (it usually takes me at least 24 hours to fully recover). However, I saw a little something in my inbox that cut through the mental haze and (almost) had me doing cartwheels.

Those kind folks at 1% Productions—God bless each and every one of them—are bring one Sufjan Stevens to Omaha’s Sokol Underground on September 20th. No word yet on who else will be on the bill, but really, does it matter? And then, a month later, The Decemberists will be gracing Sokol with their presence on October 22nd.

Mark your calendars, kiddies. I know I have.

I’ve been excited about this since it was announced yesterday morning. WHOOOT!

The Decemberists and Built To Spill aren’t shabby either, but Sufjan is easily the artist at the top of my “must see” list and now I get to see him.

Now, can we get Do Make Say Think, Broken Social Scene, The Books, Tortoise and the Animal Collective to come through here?

No, I don’t think I’m asking for too much… :)
