The Purple One
Maybe it’s because I just saw the episode of “Chapelle’s Show” with “Charlie Murphy’s True Hollywood Stories” featuring Prince, but I’m kind of stoked that Mr. Purple Rain himself is coming to Omaha next week—and yes, I remember what I said about his Grammy appearance (so I’m hypocritical—sue me).
Unfortunately, tickets start at $47.50 (damn you and your service charges, Ticketmaster!) and it’s in the middle of the week. But think about it. How cool would it be to walk into work the next morning and be able to say, “Oh yeah, I saw Prince play ‘When Doves Cry’ last night”?!? Pretty darn cool, if you ask me.

April 2, 2004 12:09pmthe best is when he goes witnessing for the Jehovah’s Witnesses during Vikings games. Eccentric is an understatement. But I guess we Minnesotans love him. He is playing 3 shows here.
