Watch a clip from Mamoru Oshii’s “Sky Crawlers”

Twitch has a nearly six-minute clip from Sky Crawlers, the latest movie from Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, Avalon). There are no subtitles, but the gorgeous imagery more than makes up for the language barrier. Interestingly enough, the film features voicework from several notable Japanese actors, including Rinko Kikuchi (who was nominated for an Oscar for her work in Babel) and Chiaki Kuriyama (Kill Bill, Battle Royale).

wow, that looks like it has serious potential. I really thought Innocence was underrated (incorporating philosophical and biblical quotes into dialogue is not an easy task, even for a former catholic) and I can’t wait to see this one…
